Yes, Despite 99% of other DVD players that rip people off with Licenses – DirectDVD is Licensed with MPEG-LA – Check out the License List here – look for (Orion Studios) Does DirectDVD play Blu-Ray or HD Discs- If your System supports standard decoders for the playback the answer to that is yes- we are working on the 8 Pro HD edition to include the decoders for Blu-ray!
