Yes it can be done. I have done it with a 16 month gap. Just as long as you know that you will need to remember that your oldest will still need care and attention (not saying that you won’t) and that you must listen to your child’s needs. Let me explain. When I was pregnant with my second I kept having this dream that I was changing my youngest and my oldest was trying to help by getting the wipes, nappy and cream and I lost my temper and shouted at her. She ran off and cried and I felt awful, so awful that I woke up crying. This happened several times and I couldn’t shake the dream. Anyway, one day I was changing the nappy, baby crying, I was tired, fed up and was not having a good day when my oldest came in and grabbed a handful of wipes and gave them to me. I took them off her and put them back into the packet. She then gave me the pot of cream which I took of her and put them down on the floor. She then grabbed the neatly rolled nappy (real nappy) and gave it to me after it had un
