Is Diabetes the cause of pancreatic cancer?
Whether Diabetes is a cause or consequence of pancreatic cancer is still a debatable issue but results of a survey of around 40,000 Israeli women who were followed up for 12 years have proved that atleast 54 cases ascertained the fact that gestational diabetes was the cause of pancreatic cancer. The results have confirmed that five cases of women with gestational diabetes had pancreatic cancer and there were no cases of pancreatic cancer among insulin dependent women.
