Is development causing the need for the sewer extension?
No. The sewer extension is required by the Act 537 Plan to eliminate failing or potentially failing septic systems and the related public health and environmental impacts caused by the failing systems. The extension will be designed to provide service to existing properties, and future properties based on densities allowed under current zoning. The inclusion of future connections actually helps reduce the ultimate cost per customer for the extension.
