Is Designer supported on Mac OSX?

0

As of Eclipse 3.3 and Apple’s JDK 1.5 Release 5 Developer Preview 2, yes. Note that OSX 10.5 requires the use of Eclipse 3.3.2 or 3.4 and Designer v6.5.0 or higher. The SWT portion of the product (SWT Designer) has worked under OSX for quite some time. Prior to Eclipse 3.3, the Swing portion of the product (Swing Designer) did not work on the Mac at all due to critical limitations in Eclipse for the Mac (Eclipse did not support Swing/AWT interoperability, for example). See the following Eclipse Bugzilla entries for more background • https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=67384 • https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=53790 • https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=54791 • https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=50540 • https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?
