With all due respect to Obama and the democrats that took office, a trained circus monkey probably could have won the race as long as he slapped a red, white, and blue donkey pin on himself somewhere and said “we need need change.” The Republicans screwed up the last 8 years in office, no doubt. The sad thing is they screwed up so bad that the majority of Americans were begging for someone to come forward and promise to change things. Enter: Barack Obama. There were quite a few democratic hopefulls coming through the final straightaway heading for the finish line for the DNC sponsorship. Like the guy or not, I think Obama deserved to win that race because he had a much better way of getting people’s attention and, in a cult like fashion that many others have already commented on, to draw people in to what he said. But unfortunately a lot of what he talked about with “change” hasn’t happened. True, he’s only been in office 2 months. I can’t expect a whole lot to be accomplished that soo
