Is democracy the best system of governance?
In an ideal world a government based on self representation would give the power of governance to the people. Through the use of elected representatives whose responsibility it is to represent the will of the people who elected them a government can be administered by the majority. Unfortunately we do not, nor have we ever lived in an ideal world. The closest thing to an ideal world our country has ever seen was during its inception when an outstanding group of selfless individuals conspired to break the chains of Monarchial rule and establish a government run by the people.
