No. Democracy is a political system, while capitalism, socialism and communism are economic systems. Democracy can be compatible with either capitalism, socialism or communism, while capitalism, socialism and communism are all exclusive with each other (socialism involves both communistic and capitalistic elements, but is not purely either).
Yes. Socialism is pretty much the prelude to communism. It is very dangerous. America is trying to socialize the financial issue out of fear of losing the grip on the economy. However in doing so they risk ultimately socializing all economic dealings, which will allow communism into our country. Obama will then be the perfect president because his goal is to socialize America, so he may control the people…very dangerous our freedoms will be no longer.
No. Most conservative people don’t understand Marx’s philosophy or what democracy really means. In his idea of political economy, the people make the decisions and own the means of production collectively. It’s democratic socialism! Lenin came along and felt the people were too stupid for democracy to work (which is not falsifiable at this juncture). His idea was to have a vanguard party, an elite core of powerful people, move the revolution forward. The result became what you’ve seen from the Bush administration (modern Leninists); they thought they knew what was best for the nation and deceived us into reckless policy after reckless policy. Stalin took Leninism one step further, assuming only a dictatorial leader could manage the country in the people’s interest. Only the U.S. Supreme Court and Congress have stopped President Bush from turning into a Stalinist (an imperial executive).
