Is December 25th really the date of Jesus birth?
I believe it was April 6, 1 BC. It was in the first month of the Hebrew Calendar on Nisan 14 or the passover, the Festival of Redemption during which the sacrificial lamb is offered. Flocks are only kept in the field with the Shepards during the warm months from April to October. Several of the key dates in the life of Christ occurred on the “holy days” on the Venus Calendar also. Although the birth date of the Savior has been somewhat controversial, the evidence to me seems compelling that the Savior was born during the night preceding Thursday, 6 April, 1 BC, which is indicated as Passover that year.[13] The Venus calendar day begins at midnight, when Venus can never be seen. If the birth was before midnight, then it would have been on the very beginning day of the Venus cycle, 1 Creation.
