The issue of a DCS staff member “signing off” on probation recommendations as part of an LCC or other staff process is separate from the Probation Service Consultant process. The first is done by protocol or practice in the culture of a local county-even if it is done under the umbrella of the statutory LCC and this is not all connected to the new process under HB 1001.
