Is data backup necessary?
Yes – data backup is vital. As computers get cheaper, the cost of repairs if something goes wrong is almost inconsequential compared to the cost, time or emotional trauma of losing all your data – years of family photos, important letters, videos of the kids etc. When setting up any new computer it is definitely worth considering hardware and/or software to safeguard your data in the unfortunate event of theft or hardware failure.
