Is dark energy accelerating the expansion of the universe at an ever diminishing rate?
Dark energy is simply a hypothetical “construct” in order to preserve a flat universe-Big Bang theory against certain calculations and it’s ongoing and accelerating expansion which we “supposedly” observe but don’t fully understand. There are other explanations for red shift and what we “think” is the ever-increasing expansion of the universe. The universe might be static after all which is what Einstein proposed and calculated and observations of red shift might have other causes or effects. Some scientists theorize that the universe must be flat in order to have a self-creating, non-supernatural origin. If the universe is not flat but rather rounded, finite and bounded, then it must have had a beginning from nothing which points to a non-natural origin or a Creator.
