Is Dan Browns mind-bending adventure puzzler worth cracking?
Dan Brown is more popular than God – certainly if book sales of The Bible are compared with The Da Vinci Code. His conspiracy-laden jaunt is the best-selling book of all time. It has been translated into 42 languages and to date, there are more than 38.6 million copies of the novel in print, averaging more than two million copies sold each month. If you haven’t read it yourself we bet a large sum of money that you know somebody who has – it seems to be about as popular as breathing. Naturally, with any phenomenon that has this level of mass appeal, a massive budget Hollywood blockbuster movie Directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks is set to sweep the nation this weekend. The problem is though, everyone knows the story! We certainly won’t be paying London cinema prices to go see a movie that we know the plot to.
