Is Daily Telegraph or Shahid Malik misleading us over who spends most taxpayers money on his 2nd Home?
I am amazed nobody so far has bothered to answer the question asked but have just given their own biased subjective presumptions without any attempt at verification. So I have done a bit of checking up on THE FACTS you ask about. The Daily Telegraph to be fair to them has in fact given details of both Shahid Malik’s and David Cameron’s expense claims on their second homes over past few days and they certainly have not been easier on the Tories than on Labour MPs. The complaint about Mr Malik is that his claims have amounted to £66,827 over the past 3 years for his second home. The complaint about David Cameron is that in total has claimed £82,450 from we taxpayers over the past four years towards the cost of HIS millionaire second home in Oxfordshire. That works out at just under £400 he has had off the taxpayers every week for the past four years. That is more per week than many old age pensioners, who have served their country honourably all their working life, get paid by the state
