Is cyclic GMP involved in the regulation of tumorigenesis in the Nicotiana genetic tumor system?

0

The endogenous level of cyclic guanosine 3′ :5′-monophosphate (cyclic GMP) was significantly lower in tumorous than in normal tissue of a tumor-prone Nicotiana amphiploid. No correlation was observed between onset of tumor formation and change in the level of the nucleotide. Exposure of seedlings to exogenous cyclic GMP did not alter the rate of tumor formation.
