Is cutting yourself a myth?

0

Cutting is for people with mental problems, such as the inability to handle stress. They are retarded if they think cutting will help. If they are cutting, do not hesitate to tell their parents. I’ve had this situation tons of times and after they get help for it they are more than grateful for the person who did the right thing and got them help. They all say they were wrong in what they did and wish the never had cut themselves.

People often say that cutting yourself is like a drug. This is because when you cut yourself your body releases a chemical to your brain called endorphins, this can make the person cutting themselves feel good or numb to the pain for a while, hence the reason some may think it’s a drug.
