Is Cultural Studies an easy degree?
No. It is a lot of work. You are required to do a significant amount of challenging reading and writing throughout the degree, but it is never gratuitously difficult. If we assign a slow-going text to read, it is usually because the author had some exciting insight to get across, not because we think there is some merit in reading unpalatable ‘classics’ just because they are there. Our students generally get bitten by the Cultural Studies bug and wouldn’t want it any other way. It is exciting and a lot of fun.
