Is CTV keeping The Listener, while NBC drops it?
I hope it sticks around – it’s a great show. Thanks! – Erica Amber: A lot of Canadians seem to love The Listener, as do many other countries around the world. The Peacock obviously doesn’t love the show though; according to executive-producer Christine Jennings (one of the forces behind Murdoch Mysteries), NBC never gave the show a shot when it decided to simply not promote. Nonetheless, she remains hopeful as she awaits a mid-September decision on whether CTV will air a second season. “We’ve got our fingers crossed,” Jennings told my colleague Greg David. “We already know that Fox International wants another season because The Listener was a big hit internationally. They’ve already told CTV that they will be a partner on another season.” Hi Amber, I’ve been waiting and waiting for Season 2 of WKRP in Cincinnati to be released on DVD.
