Is CSU Eastbay a good college for business?
It is probably not currently the very best, but the business school is AACSB accredited (that is the premier accrediting organization for business schools) and listed among Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools, so it is obviously pretty good. I get the sense that they have improved over the past few years, and they are currently searching for a new Dean which can lead to further improvements (especially if they were to hire me – I have applied for the position!). Hayward is part of the Bay Area (it is known as the heart of the Bay Area), which is generally a nice area, and seems to be a little more affordable than some of the areas around it. There is easy access to San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland by public transportation, there seems to be good diversity in the area, and the downtown area is being developed. Crime statistics seem to be at about the U.S. average.
