Yes, CS-8 Pro includes an industrial strength rules-based firewall. Best practices suggest that all requests from the Internet to the CS-8 Pro be blocked. All requests from the LAN to the Internet be blocked except for the minimum access required by users. A typical starting point is to allow only web browsing (port 80) and secure browsing (port443). Other ports may be opened depending on the application requirements of the users. CS-8 Pro includes a Firewall Wizard that greatly simplifies setting up the firewall to accommodate the most often used applications.
