Is crying all the time a sign of stress?
Crying all the time could be a sign of many things; most caused by stress. However, some people are just that way. Some people can’t help but cry during sad music or a sad movie, or something sad on the news. Others have a hard time not crying whenever they mess something up. I used to be that way up until fourth grade. Anytime I got in trouble I teared up. However, when you are about 15 and older, that’s usually a sign of overstress, and means that action should be taken to get whatever is stressing you fixed.
… Are you talking about the past or the present as it is not clear whether it started when you were young and has continued or you have stopped crying yet are asking if you should be embarrassed?….. I will just answer about crying all the time, whether young or older. If someone has not cried in a very long time, it is not unusual to cry for days and get the release that is needed from this to feel better. If crying is continued for years then of course something is wrong either physically or mentally or both. Ones hormone levels may be wreaking havoc on one, or depression may have set in, or some form of trauma may have occurred in ones life and they are not willing to disclose any part of this at the present time, but act it out through emotions how they are really feeling.
