Is coverage for an insured’s office staff, nurses, surgical assistants or other employees available?
A. Yes. An Insured and his/her professional corporation may be covered for the liability of their employees while such employees are acting within the scope of their duties. Coverage for employed Allied Health Care Professionals is not automatic and requires individual underwriting with prior approval and an additional premium charge. Employed Allied Health Care Professionals are licensed or certified health care professionals including physicians, physician assistants, surgeon assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists, nurse midwifes, or technicians.
