Is continuing education a requirement for license renewal?
Yes. The Board adopted a Continuing Education program, Rule 851.32, at the May 20, 2005 Board Meeting. The rule became effective September 1, 2006 and states that continuing education requirements must be met prior to license renewal on or after that date. There may be some exemptions to the continuing education requirements. Please see Continuing Education FAQs for more information. • What is the term of a license and what are the license renewal requirements? A license is valid for a period of one year. Renewal requirements are the payment of the renewal fee (see Current fees), and meeting other renewal requirements that the Board may establish, including 15 hours of continuing education activity.
