Is community service hours the same thing as volunteer work?
Yes community service hrs and volunteer work are about the same the difference being that CS hrs are recorded and reported to someone (court if part of a sentence or pretrial agreement, school, organization through which the person is seeking recognition for CS). I have no idea what health service hrs are but my guess is that if health service hours are required CS hours wold be in addition to those and can be done in most nonprofit organizations and government programs in your community that use volunteers. That would be places like an animal shelter, a food pantry or soup kitchen, helping with a road side or river or lake clean up, helping an agency that needs stuff moved or cleaned (like maybe a senior center), cleaning around the county courthouse or another government building, helping at Red Cross or Salvation Army, etc. Your community may have a volunteer bureau that can help you find the things to do.
