Is cleaning with white vinegar actually any good?

0

I have made some kitchen cleaner with 50% white vinegar and 50% general purpose floor and wall cleaner. It brings the sink (stainless steel) up beautifully. I use it to clean worktops and the floor (vinyl). I am going to now start using it in the bathroom as it removes lime scale so should be good for the glass shower screen etc. So cheap compared with the commercial cleaners (which I have a problem with because of the fumes they give off). The vinegar smell seems to disappear almost immediately. Vinegar is an excellent anti bacterial agent and in the old days people used to wash their salads with vinegar and water (when the vegetables and salad stuffs were dirtier than now where they are cleaned before going on sale).
