The PERMIT™ Filter/Silencer system is CARB verified, Level 3+ for prime power and emergency generators. It has passed rigorous testing requirements to meet strict California air quality regulations. If a technology is CARB verified it is also considered EPA verified through a reciprocal agreement between EPA and CARB.
