Is Classical Music Harder To Play On Guitar, Than On Piano ?

0

It seems to me than classical music is harder to play on guitar. When I watch a pianist playing a classical peice, he is still in the same posture he would be if playing a contemporary rock song. However, to play the same peice on guitar, the guitarist would HAVE to be competent at finger picking, which is a whole style of playing on its own. For example, I was watching someone playing chopin’s nortourne (originally E-flat) in E major, on an acoustic guitar, & it looked like such an exercise, compared to a pianist. I listen to classical peices, & I feel so frustrated, trying to play them because strumming it is not enough, & finger-picking is a very difficult skill.
