The program calls for an additional 1,600 sq. ft. of circulation space in the building. The programmed spaces were meant to be net square footage without circulation. “What is the minimum distance from the site corners that a curb cut for a car entrance can be?” This is always a negotiation with the DOT. The architect needs to propose the best solution for this site. “Can any existing and to-remain parking spaces on the adjacent site be taken in order to provide access to the site from that parking lot?” Obviously a few parking spaces, which will be city owned, will be lost in the design of the site to accommodate the curb cut. It is the City’s intention to maintain perpendicular parking along the eastern side of the site. “Does the exterior access need to be at grade level for both the indoor multipurpose room and catering staging areas?” This is a design solution that we can not answer.
