Is cipro safe for dogs?

No human meds for dogs unless a vet gives them to you. Cipro is not for vomiting or diarrhea—- please take your dog to the vet.

I agree, take her to the vet. For one thing you don’t know exactly what it is causing her problems, so therefore what makes you think Cipro will solve the problem. I’m not sure about the Cipro, but I do know the most common antibiotics given to dogs is Keflex or Amoxicillan. Do not give her any of those either without being prescribed by a vet. The antibiotic Cipro will definitely not take care of your dogs symptoms.

If it is prescribed by your vet, it is a very safe drug. However it can cause vomiting and diarrhea. My dog is currently on cipro for a urinary tract infection. The human dose is different then the dog dose so don’t give your dog cipro without your vet’s approval.
