Is Christianity Inc guilty of distorting Christs teachings of love,compassion,forgiveness and tolerance?
Yes, Modern Orthodox Christianity has badly distorted not only the lessons of the Christ but also his very identification of self, his personality as a lesson. Orthodox views are simplistic and literal, they missed most all of what the Christ was about and focus on Jesus, the man of Nazareth. “Believe in Jesus” or else… I have said consistently that the Christ was not a literal physical man nor were the Apostles. They were Larger than history and more important than mere historical “facts”. For those “Christians whom argue Jesus Christ was physical I say you pray to a non physical GOD yet a valid one in your eyes. Christ need not be physical to be Valid any more than your ideas of “God”. In this is truth. The Christ was a symbolic (yet valid in Spirit) lesson for mankind. A primary lesson from the Chrst was that you are not physical and never have been. You are spirit, non-physical. Christianity has become an INC. In this I agree. The entire Church under said name is a shallowed one
