Christianity and evolution are irreconcilable because evolution is irreconcilable with the Bible, and Christians believe the Bible is true. Christianity and science are not at odds with each other, since God invented science to begin with. There are simply a lot of things about science that man does not yet understand. As a microbiologist or a physicist, either one, if you start with the assumption that the Bible is true, then develop theories that fit both the facts and the Bible, instead of assuming, as many secular scientists have done, that they are incompatible, then you will be one of the first to discover some very important and worth-while things in the years ahead.

Fundamentalism and evolution are irreconcilable. Otherwise, I think evolution is neutral on the issue of God’s existence/non-existence.
