You should never use an antiseptic spray, made for humans, on any animal as the active consituents of these products are poisonous to small animals. The wound looks like an abcess, and this could heal itself. If the cat is worrying it, and biting the area, she’s trying to break the abcess and drain it. Wash the wound with a warm water to which you’ve added salt, and do this every few hours. Do not under any circumstances use an antiseptic or any other medication meant for humans. If it doesn’t clear up in the next few days you need to get the cat treated by a vet, and surely you can find a relative or friend who can drive you there. EDIT: Sorry, misread description of the spray, but am still unsure whether it’s safe to use in these circumstances. Yes, salty water will sting a bit, but so will commercial products. The salt has a mild antiseptic effect, but is completely safe. It also works on human cuts, mouth ulcers etc.
