Is Chlorella a safe and effective alternative to prescription cholesterol-lowering drugs?
In a study of 54 patients enrolled (excluding another 18 patients with incomplete data), 82 percent experienced 50 to 100 point reductions in cholesterol with an average 65 points over the initial 30 days. Hypertensive patients experienced a significant drop in blood pressure. Following their initial 30-day re-evaluation, two of the hypertensive patients were able to cease taking prescribed anti-hypertensive medications altogether, while the remaining patients significantly reduced their dosage. Note: Always consult your physician before stopping use of medications.
