is chivalry good manners or demeaning?
I see it as good manners. To me, seeing a gentleman means he was raised properly. My husband likes that I behave like a lady (well, most of the time anyway) and he treats me like a lady. Older men have made comments to me that there “aren’t many good ones like you around anymore” and I feel proud when they do. Women don’t have to be crude, hard or mean to be taken seriously.
