Is Chiropractic recognized by the medical and scientific communities?
Most definitely! In fact, the Council of International Organization of Medical Sciences recently stated, “The relationship between the medical and chiropractic professions worldwide has become increasingly one of mutual respect and collaboration”. In Canada, Chiropractic is recognized as just part of the normal National Health Program funded and supported by the Canadian Government. Doctors of Chiropractic are well educated practitioners who are required to complete four years of intense training consisting of almost 4500 hours of courses at a professional chiropractic college following two to four years of prerequisite study to earn their Doctor of Chiropractic degree. All fifty states recognize the practice of chiropractic and require that Doctors of Chiropractic are board-qualified, licensed and regulated according to stringent criteria.
