Is Chernobyl now a ghost town?
There are still an estimated 1,000 people who have returned to the ‘exclusion zone’ and their homes despite official government warnings. The economic situation is so poor that that these people feel they have no choice and no other way or place to live. They grow and eat food and also fish the contaminated waters in the area.
