Is cheeder cheese halal?
I am not sure what you mean by halal but when you ask if it contains pork I assume you are asking if it is kasher. Cheddar cheese does not contain pork but the cheese maker uses rennet for curing the cheese mixture. Rennet is usually made from the inner lining of the stomach of sheep or goats or cows. Therefore most rabbis will not accept any cheese made with this type of rennet but will accept cheeses made of artificial rennet.
