Is CheckPoint HR similar to a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or Employee Leasing Firm?

While there are some similarities between our services and those of a high-end PEO, the differences are more important. First, CheckPoint HR does not require a “co-employment” relationship which is the basis of the PEO model. Unlike a PEO, our clients file their payroll taxes under their FEIN. Employee Benefits and Workers Compensation are placed on behalf of each individual client as opposed to being merged into one large group in the PEO model. This allows for maximum flexibility in plan design.
