Is CeDUR susceptible to attack and/or damage by insects or other pests?
No, it contains no organic materials, is chemically inert, absorbs practically no water and installs directly on the roof deck, not over batten strips, which provide cavities for debris and pests. Unlike most competitive products of substantial thickness, CeDUR Shakes are not hollow-backed to conserve weight and material, and therefore provide no space for insect nesting or accumulation of ice or debris.
