Is CE contact hour funding available for Alternative Teacher Education?
No, not at this time. Traditionally, community and technical colleges have not been authorized to receive funding for education courses and it is understood that the cost for this training is borne by the individual student and/or the public school district in which the student plans to teach. Note: This topic has been presented to the Community and Technical College Formula Funding Committee, but no decision has been made as of yet.
