You are comparing apples and oranges. Catholicism and Protestantism are both part of Christianity which is monotheistic. Polytheism encompasses religions that worship multiple Gods.

It’s “Catholic”, not “Cathaholic”. Cathaholism is an addiction to surgical tubing. Yes, Catholicism is more polytheistic than Protestantism. But no sect of Christianity (except maybe Unitarianism) is actually monotheistic.
