There are both freshwater catfish like Plecos, Cories, and Pictus and saltwater catfish like Columbian Catfish and Hardhead Catfish. Soop Nazi EDIT: As John pointed out, the Gafftopsail is also saltwater, in addition to catfish in the families of Plotosidae and Ariidae (Gafftopsail is in the family Ariidae).
