Is CASAS testing required for DL ESL students?
Yes. However, if students are also enrolled in a regular seat-time ESL class at that school AND have taken the correct CASAS test required for that level, then that student does not need to re-take the test for DL. In this case, the teacher should remember to checkmark the Attachment A sheet accordingly. Also, concurrent students need not take the CASAS test.
