Is carnation instant breakfast healthy?

I’m with bethkitchen. Those are totally unhealthy – unless maybe you do it only every once in a while (like once a month). I wouldn’t do it any more than that. Having those for breakfast can actually interfer with your bodily processes/ hormones, etc. It’s best to eat a “whole foods” diet. Whole foods being eggs, fresh raw fruit, fresh raw vegetables, healthy meats, whole grains, etc. I make a really good homemade granola that is very filling, healthy and yummy. My whole family loves it. You can “doctor” it up by adding some bran flakes and corn flakes (making a Muslix of some sort). You can add raisins to it, dried blueberries, sliced bananas, etc. My family actually eats eggs about 4 times a week (Fixed various ways to avoid bordom), with a good whole grain toast and fresh fruit. The granola cereal is for a couple other days for when we are “busy” and don’t have time for the whole breakfast thing. It is so filling it holds me over until lunch (which is rare w/ me – I get hungry a lot

In a word…. No! Try not to indulge in so much dairy, the body can’t handle it as well as less refined foods such as fruits, vegetables etc. Dairy causes a build up of mucus in the body. Try eating oats or eggs and fruit in the morning. You need protein for energy for the day ahead – carnation instant – whatever the brand – will not do this for you as well as real foods can do so – try scrambled, boiled, poached eggs on granary toast. Or even beans on toast! Sugary things are false economy, you will get an energy lift, but it will only be very temporary, and followed by a real lull. Good luck!
