Is Carlos Tevez still nothing but a headless chicken?

He was at Old Trafford. That’s like saying that we were wrong in our assessment of Diego Forlan at Old Trafford, simply because he’s gone on to become one of the best strikers in Europe… Players are judged accordingly at the time, and Carlos Tevez scored 5 league goals in 29 appearances for Manchester United in his second season, and his first touch and passing was decidedly second rate, which meant that he didn’t contribute in any other meaningful fashion other than defending from the front. Whatever the reasons/mitigating circumstances, those are the facts of his second season at Old Trafford. He’s turned his career around at Manchester City and has been in spectacular form since the turn of the year, and well done to him for doing so, but he really was a headless chicken in his second season with us.
