Is CAPRA College accredited?
Not yet. However, as a condition of receiving the Louisiana Board of Regents’ approval as a Louisiana licensed post-secondary institution, CAPRA College is in correspondence with the ACICS (Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools) and will apply for national accreditation as soon as the minimum 2 years of operation has been reached. The ACICS is a national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. In order to apply for accreditation, an institution must have been in operation for a minimum of 2 years and have some graduates. Generally, accredited status is retroactive to those students who graduate prior to the official accreditation. All of CAPRA College’s current policies and faculty qualifications are designed to be in compliance with the requirements for eventual accreditation.
