Is canned beetroot ok to include with salads?
Not all beetroot will be have the same carbohydrate level, this is primarily due to the sugar added in the can, typically the sugar content is relatively high in both canned and fresh beetroot so it is not recommended, although you may find that 1-2 slices do not affect your ketosis. I really like to encourage people to read nutrition labels if they are going to eat any packaged foods and to use food databases to look up anything that is not in the handbook as it would be almost impossible to try to create an all encompassing list.
