Is cancer insurance a good idea?

Here are the stats. 1 in 2 males and 1 in 3 females will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their life. Another stat for you, the average bill that causes medical bankruptcy is $1000! Here is what I know for sure. If I am diagnosed with cancer, my family, my assets, will be more protected from the financial impact of cancer than if I didn’t have the policy. I know that if I am sick or injured my paycheck stops, but my bills don’t! Take it for what its worth. Granted, I own my own business so insurance premiums are a write off for me, but even if they weren’t I am willing to put some money into this for the piece of mind it gives me. For me, $38.26 per month is cheaper than my cell plan, and pretty much mean I have just one less “movie date” a month. You have to do what is right for you and your family, and whatever that decision is for you is perfect! Hopefully you consult with a professional, competent insurance agent about the facts (stats, and what it does and does not cover)
