Is campaigning permitted by the candidates?
The Nominating Committee requests that the candidate profile on the website of US SAILING be the only campaigning that candidates employ in seeking office. We ask that the candidates not undertake mailing, phone, or email campaigns. Candidates may make themselves available to individual inquiries and in conversations regarding their intentions and plans for US SAILING. Candidates should not engage in public debates, interviews, panels, weblogs (blogs), or other discussion groups unless ALL candidates are given equal opportunity. If a candidate is requested by media for an interview, it is requested that the candidate contact the chair of the Nominating Committee before responding to the media.
