Is camera vandalism a concern?
Unfortunately, vandalism of public property is a constant concern. Vandalism of the special cameras and technology associated with the Focus on Safety Program can be especially expensive. Vandals are often identified by the very cameras they are trying to damage. The Focus on Safety system cameras are recording activities 24-hours a day, seven days a week. What happens if a driver of a fleet vehicle is caught running a red light? If a driver of a school bus, company truck or other type of fleet vehicle is caught running a red light a notice is sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. The registered owner is responsible for responding to the penalty assessment notice. The registered owner may provide proof to the Municipal Court that he or she was not the driver or may wish to have the driver pay any fine.
